The 2022 French presidential election was held on 10 and 24 April 2022. As no candidate won a majority in the first round, a runoff was held, in which Emmanuel Macron(party-LREM) defeated Marine Le Pen (RN) and was re-elected as President of France. Macron, from La République En Marche,in which Emmanuel macron got (58.54%)vote,and Marine Le Pen got (41.46%)vote.

Le pen,like so many other right-wing learders in europe,has close ties to Vladimir putin. Many of them are deeply hostile to the European union. Le pen's victory would have not only altered France's international trajectory,but also shaken the EU to its political core.

Emmanuel macron's victory over Le pen - with 58.2% of the vote to her 41.8%, according to estimated results released at 8p.m. local time after polls closed, that was significantly smaller than the two politicians' last face-off in 2017.
